BUSY BEES TAKES FLIGHT AT EAST MIDLANDS AIRPORT
East Midlands Airport (EMA) is located in the centre of the UK, close to Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. More than four million passengers use the airport each year to reach over 90 business and holiday destinations across Europe, Africa, Caribbean, North America and Mexico.
EMA was voted Best UK Airport at the British Travel Awards in 2005 and is regarded the number one pure freight airport in the UK. More than 6,500 people are employed by the Airport and its related businesses.
Equally dedicated to its staff and customers, EMA are providing their workforce with a benefit that will help them to save money on the cost of their childcare.
The Airport is signed up to the Busy Bees’ scheme, which allows employees with children under the age of 16, to exchange part of their salary for vouchers to redeem on any form of registered childcare.
EMA launched the Busy Bees Childcare Voucher scheme in March 2006. They now have parents regularly requesting vouchers.
“The Busy Bees Childcare Voucher scheme is efficient,” said Teresa Langley, Payroll Assistant at East Midlands Airport. “The service and communication is good and Busy Bees staff are always really helpful.”
