SOUTH WEST REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Employer testimonial
The South West of England Regional Development Agency exists to secure the long-term economic success of the region stretching from Gloucestershire and Wiltshire down to Cornwall.
Since 1999, the South West of England Regional Development Agency (South West RDA) has helped boost the economic life of this part of the UK and that work continues to grow and develop.
The organisation aims to provide a thriving and competitive regional business scene to increase opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities. It also shares intelligence amongst the community to promote the South West to the rest of the UK and abroad as an excellent place to work and live.
South West RDA offers a wide range of benefits to help with the recruitment, retention and motivation of its staff.
As part of this benefits package, parents working at the organisation are able to request Busy Bees Childcare Vouchers each month. Simply by exchanging a part of their salary for Childcare Vouchers, parents are able to save up to £1,196 a year (subject to individual circumstances) on the cost of their childcare.
South West RDA launched the Busy Bees scheme in October 2006, following a thorough tendering process.
Ashley Bloomfield, Payroll Adviser at South West RDA, explains: “We implemented a Childcare Voucher scheme because we wanted to provide further benefits to our employees.
“We felt Busy Bees was the right provider for us, as they are a well established company who always provide a professional service. We have our own Account Manager, who is able to help us with any queries and promote the scheme across the company, and Busy Bees do the majority of work.”
Ashley added: “The Childcare Voucher scheme has been very successful and a high number of our working parents have joined.”
In exchange for part of their salary, parents at South West RDA are given Childcare Vouchers to spend on any form of registered or approved childcare, including nurseries, nannies, au pairs, childminders, out of school clubs and holiday schemes.
Parents are able to request up to £243 worth of tax and National Insurance exempt Vouchers a month.
